Scott Williams is the founder/owner of Camp4Real and has been teaching physical education at Meriwether Lewis School since 2004. He was a winner of the 2011 Golden Apple Award, the 2013 VAHPERD Elementary PE Teacher of the Year, and the 2015-16 VAHPERD and SHAPE Southern District Dance Teacher of the Year. He is also a presenter and keynote speaker at physical education conferences across the nation.
Andrew Wymer taught physical education at Meriwether Lewis School from 2005-2014 and currently teaches at Burley Middle School. He was the head coach for the 2012 State Champion Western Albemarle Boys’ tennis team and has presented at PE conferences across the nation. Andrew has been a part of the Camp4Real team since its inception in 2011.
Elsa Spencer, who holds her Ph.D. in Nutrition from Emory University (and a Bachelor of Science from University of North Carolina-Asheville) is our Nutrition Consultant and Food Coordinator. Since 2013, she has been enthusiastically planning and preparing your students’ camp snacks! Elsa is passionate about feeding ourselves sustainably, vegetarian nutrition, and educating children, especially regarding healthy food choices. At Camp4Real, she pursues all three passions simultaneously! Elsa is a homeschooler and a math teacher at Tandem Friends School.
Sara Currier has been teaching physical education at Brownsville Elementary since 2011. She has coached volleyball at Monticello High School and offers a wide variety of after school classes for students and staff. She is the co-owner of Tread HAPPY Studio in downtown Charlottesville.
Tommy Landseadel has been teaching Physical Education at Stone-Robinson Elementary since 2007. He graduated from UVA with a BS in Commerce (2002) and a MT in Education (2007). Tommy has presented PE activities at multiple teacher conferences throughout the state. He also coaches high school basketball and enjoys spending free time with family.
Coby Massie is in his second year of teaching at Meriwether Lewis School and also taught PE at Clark Elementary in Charlottesville for twelve years. He has over eight years of coaching experience in both baseball and softball, including the past three years at Monticello High School. Coby has two sons and is a professional DJ.
Brandon Flowers has been teaching PE since 2008. A graduate of Lynchburg College, Brandon played 4 years of soccer at the collegiate level. He has coached a variety of soccer teams from middle school to varsity soccer including a state championship in 2014 with Western Albemarle. Brandon was the Golden Apple winner in 2014/2015 at Broadus Wood Elementary and currently teaches middle school PE at Bailey Bridge Middle School in Chesterfield County. He is also a featured presenter at physical education conferences around the country.
Jack Carroll has been teaching elementary physical education since 1991 and has been at Hollymead Elementary since 2002. He has presented at local and state PE conferences and loves learning new and exciting games and activities to bring to his students at school and C4R. Jack enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and daughters. He is an alumnus of the University of Maryland and is a veteran of the US Navy.
